FAVORITE ABA MEMORY:
Which memory should I use? Yes, the game against the junior high kids was great. The first time I saw Sean on the basketball court jumping into nets and punching hard surfaces was memorable. The day I landed on Han's foot and severely twisted my ankle was painful but certainly not my fondest. Why don't we just go back to the beginning?

I remember November 1, 1998 like it was yesterday. My first ABA appearance. I was finally going to go head-to-head with ABA legions like the Cop, Wild Turkey, the Doctor, Downtown, and Bicen. Of course I was a little nervous, maybe even a little scared, who wouldn't be after hearing the infamous stories of Wild Turkey and his drinking, Bicen and his sweet as honey fade away jumper, Doc and his almost unstoppable quick release. Would I be able to hang with players like this?

I can't remember if I made any shots that day or who was the MVP but I do remember this. About a minute into the first game, while going up for a rebound, Downtown elbowed me in the head. As I was crawling on the ground dazed and looking for my contact, which had been ripped from my eye. I can remember saying to myself "Welcome to the ABA."
