FAVORITE ABA MEMORY:
My memory occurred the day of Doctor's bachelor party - For those not in the know, Fro showed up wearing (and playing temporarily) with a monster 'fro, a 13 year-old working the counter was playing some Dance Party Mix that was probably purchased at the low low price of 9.99 plus S + H (except in New Jersey). As I recall, a swell 15 or 20 minute long remix of 'We Like to Party' by the Vega Boys was pumping, when I decided to launch my an obligatory 2 point shot (to keep the defender 'honest'), only to have the shot blocked into next week by none other than the Docotr himself. As Doc bellowed like a Norse God, I just kept thinking that my shot had just been bitch slapped by Doc - the only guy that I am appreciably taller than. I don't know as that I will ever forget that particular feeling. I then went on to have a picture taken of myself, in which I appear to have at least one knee and both ankles dislocated, that has since been made into the ABA's unofficial logo. What a day indeed.
